The third test-flight of the space shuttle. The eight-day mission was launch from Kennedy Space Center on March 22. It was the first and only time a mission ended with a landing at the back-up runway at White Sands, New Mexico. Aboard were astronauts Jack Lousma and Gordon Fullerton.
